As flowery and gentle and delicate and sensual as essential oils
are, they’ve also been used throughout history as physical and mental
stimulants, territorial markers and spiritual vehicles, although
before the feminists amongst you begin finding out where I live,

On a practical basis you could include the following in blends
prepared especially for a gentleman’s skin-care regiment especially
to cleanse, moisturize and soothe after shaving;

Grapefruit, (Citrus paradisi), petitgrain (Citrus
aurantium var. amara p.o. Leaves), sandalwood (Santalum
album), Roman chamomile or German chamomile (Anthemis
nobilis or Chamomilla recutita Matricaria chamomilla), frankincense
(Boswellia carterii), geranium (Pelargonium graveolens), tea
tree (Melaleuca alternifolia), and everlasting or
immortelle (Helichrysum angustifolium).

For pre and post sports workouts try;

Lavandin (Lavandula hybrida abrialis clone), cinnamon
(Cinnamomum zeylanicum p.o. Bark), Ceylon citronella
(Cymbopaogon nardus), ravensara (Ravensara aromatica),
rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis, I,8 cineole) and ‘certified’
wintergreen in very small doses (Gaultheria procumbens).

To relieve fatigue, clear your mind, energize, increase
concentrations and fine-tune your intellectual prowess;

Basil with less than 5% methyl chavicol (Ocimum
basillicum), clove at low doses too, (Eugenia caryophyllata,
p.o. Flowering buds), cypress (Cupressus semperivens), dill
(Antheum graveolens), bay laurel (Laurus nobilis), lemon
(Citrus limonum), peppermint (Mentha piperita), ravensara
(Ravensara aromatica), thyme (Thymus vulgaris b.s. Linalool), black
pepper (Piper nigrum).

For girding your loins and exploring the boundaries of passion;

Neroli (Citrus aurantium var. amara p.o. Flowers),
peppermint (Mentha piperita), ylang ylang (Cananga
odorata), sandalwood (Santalum album), vetiver
(Vetiveria zizanioides), clary sage (Salvia sclarea), Scots
pine (Pinus sylvestris), patchouli (Pogostemon patchouli)
and even sweet marjoram (Origanum majorana).

There is a different species of man evolving • • ” a new man

shares in the necessary money-making-hunter-gathering. He may read
